Aahh… Golden Pair. So canon. So much love, tension, loyalty and… and…

No offense or anything, but Golden Pair has never really caught my eye. It’s true! It’s not that I hate the characters or their interactions or anything, FCK NO. I love both Oishi and Eiji (especially the latter) with my TeniPuri soul and I do squeal at their loveliest moments together… But… I don’t know. I never read any fanfictions or doujinshi and have never felt motivated to do fanarts of them. Don’t hate me for saying this, because you will never, EVER hear me deny the love and canon that is Golden Pair, never. Remember this – there is a HUGE difference between not seeing a pairing and not shipping it.

Anyhow, for all Golden Pair fans out there, Lovux will compensate for her lack of Golden Pair-ism with providing you a link to something she found on Livejournal some years ago and has forever changed her view on Golden Pair. It really opened her eyes for what Eiji’s and Oishi’s relationship is and what they mean for each other, not to mention that it changes your view on the characters themselves… or should I say, I finally found somebody that agreed with me – Eiji is NOT a childish, girly kid whose vocabulary consists of “NYAAAAAH OISHI~”, he’s quite badass actually. I could rant forever about the stupid seme- and uke stereotypes that fandom has to shape Golden Pair (and several other shounen ai pairings not only in Prince of Tennis but also from other series) in, but I’ll leave that for another time.
