And out from nowhere comes a humble gift for . This is for you, hun! I know how fond of fairies and mermaids you are, so I really hope that this little picture will fit your fancy. It’s an appreciation gift for all those times you’ve commented on my emo journals and are always giving me wise advices – Linnzy ROCKS! And her gallery is just as awesome as herself, so don’t forget to check it out!

The colours of this one were kind of random. I did know that I wanted the mermaid to have greenish/bluish coloured hair, “seagreen” or so to say, but other than that, I had to improvise. I gave her a yellow skin tone, to make her seem less human, which I really thought was a well-made choice, if I can say so myself! The fairy however, I had no idea what to do with. Her hairstyle is blatantly inspired/ripped off from a character from Code Geass R2, Anya Alstreim, but I didn’t want it to be pink like hers (yes, you read that right – Lovux did not want pink! Call the ambulance!). Giving her red leaves on her dress was just a random mistake who turned out not to be half as bad as I thought it would. To make a long story short, I gripped the wrong pencil and didn’t realize my mistake until it was too late. So I had to go with the red, and now that I think about it, it does complement the other colours in this picture pretty nicely. Maybe Lovux isn’t a natural untalent with colours after all?

I originally intended to let this picture’s background consist of the ocean and the sky, with a ship at the horizon (making this picture taking place at the beach), but then I said “Fck it, I’m not that good of an artist… yet”, so I scrapped that idea.
